Open Access Policy
Islamic Studies Review is a fully open-access journal. Every article is freely available online, without charge and without embargo, from the moment it is published. The journal follows the definition of open access set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative: research is made freely available to the public to support a wider global exchange of knowledge.
Reader Rights
Readers are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and text-mine the full text of every article, and to use it for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the author. The only constraint is that the author's right to be properly attributed and the integrity of the work are respected.
Licence and Copyright
Authors retain copyright in their work. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), which permits others to share and adapt the material for any purpose, provided the original work is properly cited and any derivative is distributed under the same licence.
No Fees
The journal charges neither readers nor authors. There is no subscription or access fee for readers, and no submission fee or article processing charge for authors. The costs of publication are met by Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia as publisher.
Self-Archiving and Repositories
Authors may deposit the published version of their article in any institutional or subject repository, or on a personal or departmental website, immediately upon publication and without embargo. Posting a preprint before submission is also permitted and is not treated as prior publication. Authors are asked to link the deposited copy to the published version once it appears.
